Napoleon Bonaparte - English Assignment (Alidza Fauzi)

My Idol

Hi, My Idol Is Napoleon Bonaparte because he is a great emperor of France Empire. I like his
leadership, tactical war skill, and military theory. Napoleon begun his career with a patriotsm of revolution, he makes justice, glory, and victory become reality for France. The most impotant that he can change the world even in defeat “changer le monde ait jamais vaincre”. It quite sad that history said Napoleon defeated, but the situation if the history changed will be not same as now. Now I will tell you about his short history (not copied of course).

Early Age

Napoleon was born on 15 August 1769 to Carlo Maria di Buonaparte and Maria Letizia Ramolino in Ajaccio, Corsica. He had an elder brother,  Joseph  and younger sister Lucien, Elisa, Louis, Pauline, Caroline and Jerome.
When napoleon was in Brienne military school (10) he was being discriminated and teased by his friends he spoke with a Corsican accent and never learned to spell properly. They don’t tolerate the other culture and make such things look funny and of course they don’t tolerate napoleon at all, but he know that he has intended it to have to learn and he doesn’t  care about the intolerance that he received, then he was commissioned second lieutenant in the artillery in 1785.

Early Career

“some man lies a simple life while others have fire to change the world, I don’t know when fire in napoleon first burned perhaps he has always destiny, sometimes destiny can use a little help for even a revolution. The war ways were drown in the tide of blood. A man could whatever he wanted, even a strom”
Siege of Toulon (1793)
Siege of Toulon was first battle for Napoleon he was appointed artillery commander of the france forces, the city has taken by the brittish then he planned to capture a hill where french guns could dominate the city's harbour and force the British ships to evacuate. The assault on the position, made Napoleon wounded in the thigh, but led to the capture of the city. He was promoted to brigadier general at the age of 24.

Italian campaign

“ In 1769 Napoleon was sent to command the army of Italy, the french knew that Austria would fight in Germany they knew that Italian campaign had to be pointless, that was his unique “I will lead you to the most fertile plains in the world you will find honor, glory, and riches.” The soldiers are listened but, they didn’t belive, so many days without hope, without glory.”
Italian campaign was the most successful campaign for Napoleon, two days after the marriage with Josephine de Bauharmis, he left Paris to take command of the Army of Italy and led it on a successful invasion of Italy. At the Battle of Lodi he defeated Austrian forces and drove them out of Lombardy. In 1797 he crossed the cold Alps into Vienna and negotiated the Treaty of Campo Formio and Bonaparte returned to Paris in December.

Egyptian campaign

“It was a time of exploration and conquest everywhere, French man travel the world, learning, teaching, trading. Always british are threat, their ship sunk us down their merchant took the best. As the British rule the sea, France suffered. In the heat of Summer in 1798, the eastern wealth will be ours, Egypt here the sand whisper ancient victory and glory, here napoleon felt the history of forty centuries upon his shoulder, what have done up to know is nothing, the dessert is harsh, unforgiven, brave alone will not give any life.”
Napoleon decided France's naval power was not yet strong enough to confront the Royal Navy in the English Channel and proposed a military campaign to Egypt and prevent British access to its trade interests in India.
The Egyptian campaign does not produce good results France only captured city and town that cannot make Napoleon dream come true. At the end France army was defeated by combined ottoman and mamluks they naval also defeated by the british admiral Horatio Nelson lord of HMS Victory, but the campaign worth a many historical notes and knowledge then he returned to France in 1799.

Europe Campaign

“December 1804 France watch Napoleon became emperor he said “I found French throne in gutter and I pick it up, Vive La Empire!” He was a flame, Napoleon gave france greatness, glory,  justice and law, nothing was untouch, he scold may justice become reality for all. The old enemies plotted against him, Brittain, Austria, Russia, and other lick spitless. In 1805 all of France his empire prepare for war.”
Napoleon established a new France monarchy with himself as Emperor Napoleon I. He continued his military triumphs, conquering the Austrian and Russian armies in Ulm and Austerlitz. In 1806 he defeated a Prussian and when the Portuguese refused to blockade the brittish trade, he involved the Peninsular War and took over Iberia (Includes spain and portugal). In September 1812, Napoleon led an attack on Russia and reached Moscow in snowy winter.
“Our enemy said  we could not to win, what different they ask could one man made? Every different I replied if that man is Napoleon, Napoleon watch the Moscow falls, he expected victory nothing less or doom, victory came because he willed, Napoleon wills, Napoleon Ambitions set the match to king of the world”

The Defeat

The Russian winter is most dangerious threat for Napoleon when the fall nations know the napoleon armys were suffered by winter they resist against him then Prussian joined Russia, Britain, Sweden, and Austria in the Battle of Nations at Leipzig in October. Napoleon retreated to Paris, and fought various attacks on Paris, but the city finally fell in March 1814. The Bourbon King dynasty was restored, and Napoleon was exiled to the island of Elba. in March 1815 he returned to France and drove King Louis XVIII into exile, occupying Paris at the beginning of a period known as the Hundred Days. In the last battle the battle of waterloo (18 June 1815) Napoleon's forces fought the allies, led by Wellington and Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher. Wellington's army stand defend from French attacks and drove them from the field while the Prussians arrived in force and broke through Napoleon's right flank. Napoleon was defeated and formally surrender to  the British Captain Frederick Maitland on HMS Bellerophon on 15 July 1815. On 23 June He was exiled, to the island of St. Helena, where he spent the rest of his life and died in 1821
“La mort c'est rien, mais vivre vaincu et sans gloire, c'est mourir vous les jours -Napoleon” “Death is nothing, but to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily”
“Some men live and die in the shade of their olive trees, some men change the world even in defeat.”
